This project began with a familiar feeling; a home that functioned, but no longer perfectly fit family life.

The aim wasn’t simply to add space, but to make the ground floor flow and feel more connected.

The extension opens the house to the garden through maximised glazing, while a contemporary roof lantern draws soft, natural light deep into the plan.

Internally, the layout was carefully rebalanced so kitchen, dining, and living areas sit together but still feel defined, allowing movement through the space to feel simple and intuitive.

Materials are consistent and in keeping with the client’s own personal style. Soft toned walls, functional tiled flooring, and feature joinery create a calm backdrop, with subtle brass detailing adding warmth.

The result is a home that feels more open, more settled, and comfortable to live in.
